about

These tracks were recorded during 2011-13 as Master Harker was writing his first two albums, 'I dream of entropy' and 'Your time is soon'. They were meant to be a release during long songwriting sessions and were never meant to be released as they just didn't fit with the songs MH was writing. This was until a good friend John May encouraged MH to release these tracks. Under the name 'Fermi Kardeshev', the emphasis was on lo-fi electronic fun, writing electronic tunes that didn't use a sequencer or computer programs. All instruments were recorded like a traditional band, overdubbed the traditional way-by ear!
Instruments used on these recordings included, vintage keyboards, Stylophones, a nineties drum machine, a casio Vl tone, effects pedals left whirring about, a wooden stomp box, distorted acoustic guitar and the odd prepared guitar
